Micro-farming, from indoors or out. How to grow using hydroponic systems, organically. Microgreens and sprouts. This class will cover all systems, set-up, maintenance and growth identifying time-frame expectations from germination to harvest. Those who participate will be able to replicate the growing methods in any space, a small apartment or garage or outdoor patio.

Students will work in small groups to build a hydroponic system, then do maintenance on an existing hydroponic system. They will germinate first seeds, then participate in transitioning already germinated seeds into grow pods. Followed by system cleaning, and fertilization of plants in the growth phase. The class will end with harvesting of finished greens and students can take home some of the microgreens to enjoy at the end.
