Since 1973, the Cuesta College Foundation has been a steadfast resource for thousands of students. Whether pursuing workforce training, planning to transfer to a four-year university, or seeking personal enrichment, the Foundation is committed to making these educational journeys possible.
As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit partner to Cuesta College, we provide philanthropic support that removes financial barriers and expands opportunities for students. Each year, the Foundation invests millions in scholarships, emergency grants, the Cuesta Promise, and student success programs — empowering students to achieve their goals.
The Cuesta College Foundation fuels the excellence of Cuesta College by engaging the
community, building relationships, and inviting the generosity of donors. The resources
raised and managed by the Foundation enrich college programs, remove barriers, and
empower students to succeed.

Cuesta Promise
Launched in 2014, the Cuesta Promise allows all recent San Luis Obispo County high
school graduates to attend Cuesta College tuition-free for two years. Funded by the
Charles and Leeta Dovica Family Trust, it has served nearly 10,000 local students.

Scholarships
Scholarships help students cover tuition and other costs, such as textbooks and transportation.
They are awarded based on need, merit, or specific donor criteria.
