The Student Success & Support Programs (SSSP) Internship Program is a collaborative effort between various Cuesta College departments to implement a formal and comprehensive program that selects suitable and qualified master degree candidates as interns, and provides them with appropriate experiences in the field. Departments include: Counseling; EOPS (Extended Opportunities Programs & Services), CARE (Cooperative Agencies Resources for Education), and CalWORKs; DSPS (Disability Services Programs & Services); Admissions & Registration; and Student Life & Leadership.

How to Apply
- Complete the 2024-2025 Cuesta College Internship Application (available online until May 1, 2023) and submit the following required documents
by the application deadline:
- Cover letter
- Current resume
- Copies of transcripts (unofficial)
- Request that your university program coordinator complete and submit the online Intern Program Recommendation Form by the application deadline. Applicants must be academically ready for internship/field work hours.
Additional Information
Graduate student internships typically begin in September and end in June. To be eligible for consideration, applications must be complete, with all required documents submitted online by the deadline (see steps 1 & 2 above). Selected applicants will be invited to interview in May/June. If offered an internship, additional steps and information will be required (i.e., fingerprints, current TB test, new hire paperwork, etc.)
- Depending on department availability, internship placement opportunities may be offered in programmatic and/or academic counseling areas. All positions are volunteer positions.
- Applicants must be in the second year of their master's program to be eligible to apply.
- Applicants must also submit the application and required items by the application deadline. Required items include a cover letter, current resume, copies of academic transcripts (unofficial), and a form to be submitted by your university program coordinator. Intern Program Recommendation Form
- In addition to internship placements, interested individuals may also submit the internship application to volunteer for the following special events: Cougar Welcome Day (May); Early Commitment to College Night (September); Promise Day, Transfer Day and College Night (October).
