Using Your Library
Library Services
Book Lending
Borrowing privileges are extended to all currently registered students, Cuesta faculty
and staff, and community members.
Chromebook & Hotspot Rental
Students can email circulation@cuesta.edu to make an appointment to pick up a Chromebook or Hotspot. Drop-ins are also welcome.
Computer and Internet Access
The library has computers for students to use for searching the library catalog, access
to library databases, internet research, word processing, along with the software
for most classes during open hours.
Printing & Copying
Black and white printing and color printing are currently available free of charge. Copy machines are available in the library for student use. Copies are currently free of charge.
Research Assistance
Reference librarians are available to help you get started on your research paper, navigate databases, or help you find what you need. Visit us at the Reference Desk in the library, email, chat, or book an appointment from the Contact Us page. If you need immediate assistance, please use Chat.
Study Rooms
Study rooms are available on a first come basis and through reservations. Use the
link on our homepage or Cuesta Connect to make reservations.
Wi-Fi
Wifi is available across the Cuesta campus and in the library. Printing from personal
devices is not currently available. Computers with printing access are provided.
Interlibrary Loan
Interlibrary Loan (ILL) is a service through which current students and employees may request print and audio-visual materials not owned or accessible by Cuesta College library. Visit our ILL guide for more information and to access the ILL request form.

Having your student ID number ready will streamline your checkout process.

Returning Library Items
Books
Return books indoors to the circulation desk or in the outdoor book-drops on either
SLO or NCC campuses.
Electronics: Chromebooks or Calculators
Return indoors to the SLO Library circulation desk or NCC Library circulation desk
during open hours.
Reserve Materials
Return books to the Circulation desk.
